A heartbreaking incident in Masvingo has left a community in shock after a mother, Blessing Chiromonyo, 25, allegedly drowned her two young daughters as an act of revenge against her husband’s infidelity.
The tragic event occurred on January 8, 2025, near a water canal in Section 4 of Triangle. Chiromonyo reportedly led her daughters, aged three and seven, to the canal with the intent of ending their lives. While she managed to escape the strong current, her children were tragically swept away and drowned.
According to initial investigations, the act was triggered by a heated domestic dispute between Chiromonyo and her husband. Neighbours witnessed the confrontation, which escalated into the devastating incident.
Chiromonyo has since been arrested and is in police custody facing murder charges.
