Tinashe Calvin Musoni, an emerging Afro-Jazz sensation known for his rich vocals and storytelling prowess, is making waves once again with his latest track, Gindiri Gindiri.

Performing under the moniker Master T, he continues to prove his artistic depth and adaptability by venturing beyond his Afro-Jazz roots into the reggae genre.

Unlike his previous releases, which carried the signature smooth rhythms of Afro-Jazz, Gindiri Gindiri leans into the infectious, bass-heavy beats of reggae, showcasing his ability to seamlessly transition between genres.

His smooth yet commanding delivery blends effortlessly with the reggae instrumentation, highlighting his versatility and musical craftsmanship.

At its core, Gindiri Gindiri carries a powerful message about the virtues of hard work, resilience, and earning an honest living. The song denounces the "get-rich-quick" mentality that tempts many into dishonest means of survival.

Instead, Master T emphasizes the importance of perseverance, discipline, and integrity—urging his listeners to embrace hard work as the key to long-term success. The lyrics resonate with many who face daily struggles but remain committed to ethical paths toward financial stability.

This latest offering follows the recent release of three studio tracks— Ndakamirira Iwe, Zvakutoda Nharo, and Far—all of which showcase Master T’s evolution as an artist. Recorded in Johannesburg, these tracks reflect his growing confidence and musical maturity, drawing from years of practice and personal experiences.

“The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so goes the saying. I’m not here to beat my own drum, but I believe listeners will judge for themselves after experiencing the music,” says Master T. “I bring a unique breath of fresh air, shaped by years of dedication to my craft.”

Raised in a rural setting, Master T’s formative years were spent in deep introspection, allowing him to develop a profound connection with music. He credits his musical journey to the influence of the late Oliver Mtukudzi, whose timeless sound and meaningful lyrics inspired him to pursue a genre that prioritizes longevity and cultural impact.

“I want to create music that will outlive me—songs that remain relevant across generations. That is why I choose to make music with substance.”

His management team acknowledges that securing a slot in live performances marks a significant milestone in his career. With his ability to seamlessly fuse genres, coupled with his thought-provoking lyrical content, Master T is positioning himself as one of Zimbabwe’s most promising rising artists.

And as he continues to carve out his space in the industry, one thing remains clear: Master T’s music is here to stay. Whether through Afro-Jazz, reggae, or any other genre he chooses to explore, his commitment to creating timeless, impactful music is undeniable.
