Spirits were high and energy contagious as the Zimbabwean cricket team got their preparations underway in Sylhet, despite a rain-affected start to their training session. The mood in the camp was upbeat, with players eager to stretch their legs and get into rhythm after two grueling days of travel.

Day 1 of training saw the squad waiting out the rain, which delayed the initial phases of their session. But when the skies finally cleared, it was all systems go. The players hit the ground running, shaking off the jet lag with high-intensity warm-ups and drills that brought fresh energy to the field.

Head Coach Justin Sammons, speaking after the day’s session, expressed confidence in his side’s readiness and potential. “We strongly believe we have a group of players that can really compete and take the series back with us to Zimbabwe,” he said. Sammons highlighted the determination in the camp and praised the team's adaptability despite the weather setback.

With the series looming, the team’s focus has shifted sharply to fine-tuning their skills and building momentum. The training may have been interrupted, but the sense of purpose was clear—this is a squad ready to rise to the occasion. As the sun finally broke through the Sylhet clouds, so too did the intensity of the preparations, setting the tone for the battles ahead.
