Dynamos coach Lloyd Chigowe, affectionately known as MaBlanyo, has appealed to the club's fans to be patient with the team as they navigate a challenging start to the season. DeMbare currently sits in 13th place with six points from their first six matches, having won just one game, drawn three, and lost two.
Chigowe emphasized that the team is in the middle of a rebuilding exercise, with several youngsters still adjusting to the Dynamos environment. He urged fans to appreciate the team's progress, saying, "We are cooking something special, and patience is the key because we are in the middle of a rebuilding exercise, and definitely, they will get better as the season progresses."
The Harare giants are set to face high-flying newcomers MWOS FC at the newly renovated Ngoni Stadium in Norton. MWOS FC, coached by former Dynamos player Lloyd Mutasa, tops the standings with 14 points from six matches, having won four games. Chigowe believes his team has an idea of how MWOS FC plays and is confident that his players will give a good fight.
"We have got an idea of how MWOS Football Club plays. We know that they are on a roll, and we have tasted defeat in two consecutive matches, and that should spur us to give a very good fight in Norton," he said.
Dynamos have lost key players Temptation Chiwunga and Freddy Aleck, and Chigowe is assessing the team's options. "We have got a longer preparation period to assess the guys who are battle-ready... We are trying to see if Tellmore Pio will be up to the task," he added.
Despite the challenges, Chigowe remains optimistic about the team's prospects. "We are not panicking because this team has not been outperformed. We lost when we had given a very good fight."
As Dynamos look to put an end to their two-match losing streak, fans will be eagerly watching the team's progress. With Chigowe at the helm, Dynamos are expected to face a tough challenge against MWOS FC. However, with the coach's experience and the team's determination, there is hope for a positive outcome.
The PSL holiday fixtures are packed with exciting matches, including Green Fuel vs ZPC Kariba, Manica Diamonds vs TelOne, and Caps United vs Bikita Minerals, among others. The league is heating up, and Dynamos will need to bring their A-game to compete with the top teams.
