Former Dynamos chairman, Isiah Mupfurutsa, who was recently fired from the Harare giants, snubbed a farewell dinner.
DeMbare had organised a dinner for Mupfurutsa and their former head coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who has since been appointed to lead newly-promoted Simba Bhora’s campaign in the premiership.
Mupfurutsa was relieved of his duties while the fading giants decided not to renew Ndiraya’s contract, which expires at the end of the year.
Sources close to Mupfurutsa told this publication that the banker decided not to attend the meeting.
“How can you attend a dinner when you were fired? Mupfurutsa decided to snub the sanitisation dinner,” a reliable source told Zim Now.
However, Dynamos spokesperson Tinashe Farawo poured cold water on the claims that Mupfurutsa snubbed the dinner.
“The former chairman had other commitments and a busy schedule that is why he did not attend,” Farawo said.
Efforts to get a comment from Mupfurutsa proved fruitless as he was not picking up his mobile number by the time of writing.
