Premier African Minerals Limited has provided an update on the plant status at its Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project in Zimbabwe, announcing the commencement of the second phase of plant testing and the implementation of changes outlined in previous statements.
While the company has faced optimisation and commissioning challenges, it reports encouraging results so far.
Plant Testing Progress: The second phase of plant testing is currently underway, with the company gathering valuable knowledge and information to support the process.
OEM Team Input: A senior Original Equipment Manufacturer team is on-site, providing assistance and technical input.
Secondary Spodumene Float Section: A decision on the purchase of a secondary spodumene float section is expected within the next seven days.
Tantalum Recovery Circuit: Plans are progressing to complete the tantalum recovery circuit, with several parties expressing interest in purchasing tantalum and potentially assisting with associated costs.
Replacement of OEM-Supplied Sorters: The company is working to replace the original OEM-supplied sorters, which have been deemed unfit for purpose.
CEO George Roach expressed optimism about the project’s trajectory, stating: “We are generally pleased with progress and remain as confident as ever in the final successful conclusion of this phase.”
