Great Hope director Moreboys Munetsi demands apology from Prophet Sello

Moreboys Munetsi (L) wants Prophet Sello to eat his words

While still failing to explain away his prediction that France would beat Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup, Prophet Sello now faces the ignominy of withdrawing another “spiritual” pronouncement in the face of legal action.

Through his lawyers, Great Hope funeral parlour director Moreboys Munetsi has written a letter to Tinashe Kamuriwo more propularly known as Prophet Sello demanding that Kamuriwo retracts his allegation that Munetsi is a practitioner of some evil spiritual practices.

In his letter dated November 6, 2022 Munetsi’s lawyer Ms Vongai Mutebuka states:

“Accordingly, we have been instructed to demand, as we hereby do, that you immediately and with a public apology, retract your defamatory statements against our client within 48 hours of receipt of this letter and that you pull down the videos on your above-mentioned social media handles to ensure that there is no further defamation of Mr Munetsi’s character and Good Hope’s reputation.

“If you do not comply with this demand within this time period, it is our instruction to seek monetary damages and equitable relief for your defamation in the appropriate court without further notice. Cost incurred shall be to your account.”

The letter outlines Munetsi’s grievance as resulting from a pronouncement made by Prophet Sello.

“You questioned two women of their relation to the owner of Great Hope to which they responded saying ‘ihanzvadzi yedu yekwaBabamukuru’. To quote, in your response, you then made the below unfounded statements which are both untrue and demeaning: funeral Ndiye akabata mushonga ... vakomana ava vakanoromba … mudzinza mashereketa munhu ane parlour. (He is the one who dabbled in black magic. These guys look for magical get rich aids. Your clan is afflicted through the wayward actions of someone who own a parlour.”

Munetsi’s lawyer denies any blood ties with the women in Prophet Sello’s video.

“Our client is not related in any way to the two adult ladies seen in your video and he has no connection to the said family, save to mention that Great Hope offered services to this family for the repatriation and burial of one Primrose Sangare, who was their sister.”

Prophet Sello has not responded to the letter and Ms Vongai Mutebuka told Zim Now that her client has instructed her to seek

Prophet Tinashe Michael Sello of Christ Celebration International Ministries is a Lesotho prophet based in Harare.

Now he faces the test of defending his pronouncement of Moreboys Munetsi as a dabbler in sorcery or admit that he needs a new prescription for his spiritual spectacles.
