Zanu PF apologises for omission of Hungwe on Politburo list

The Zanu-PF secretariat has apologised for the omission of Omega Hungwe who, despite having been appointed into the Politburo, had her name missing from the list.

Secretary for Administration for the party, Obert Mpofu, said:

“Reference is made to the statement released on 23 December 2022 on the appointments of the Politburo by H.E the President and First Secretary of the Party Cde ED Mnangagwa.

“The statement omitted on the list the name of Cde Omega Hungwe who was appointed into the Politburo as a Committee member.

“All inconveniences caused by that omission are sincerely regretted.”
