Brian Bennett Competes with Indian Stars for ICC Player of the Month Honour

Zimbabwe’s cricket star Brian Bennett has earned a prestigious nomination for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for September 2025, standing tall among cricket’s elite. The explosive opener is the only player from Zimbabwe and indeed from outside India ,in contention for the award, competing with Indian stars Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav for the coveted honour.

Bennett’s inclusion caps off a remarkable month for the right-hander, whose blistering form with the bat has been instrumental in Zimbabwe’s recent success. Across nine T20 internationals, Bennett amassed an impressive 497 runs at an average of 55.22 and a strike rate of 165.66, making him one of the most consistent performers in world cricket during September.
