PSL Fines Ngezi Platinum Stars, Chiragwi After October Match Chaos

The Premier Soccer League has imposed disciplinary sanctions on Ngezi Platinum Stars FC, head coach Takesure Chiragwi, and defender Kudzai Chigwida following violent incidents during the club’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium on  October 4, 2025.

The PSL ruled that Ngezi Platinum Stars were guilty of “disturbing the normal proceedings of a game” and engaging in “improper behaviour” through the actions of their players and technical staff. The club was fined US$5,000.

Chiragwi pleaded guilty to charges of violent and disorderly conduct as well as behaviour likely to “bring the League into disrepute.” He was fined US$4,000, with US$1,000 suspended on condition that he attends anger-management lessons with a PSL-approved organisation.
