A Glen Norah man has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts facing charges of theft of trust property after allegedly diverting thousands of dollars meant for insurance and vehicle licensing payments.
Visitor Nhamoinesu, 27, who worked as an agent for Stanfar Underwriting Management Agency (Pvt) Ltd, is accused of converting to his personal use US$6 526 and ZiG757 400 during the period between January and November 2025.
The company, represented in court by its official Trave Mukwena, is contracted to sell First Mutual Holdings motor vehicle insurance products, including ZINARA and ZBC Radio licences under NICOZ Diamond. Nhamoinesu was based at the Zuva Peacocks Service Station in Harare’s CBD.

According to prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawu, Nhamoinesu’s duties included collecting payments from clients and remitting the funds daily through cash, bank transfers or point-of-sale transactions into the company’s accounts.
However, a routine reconciliation uncovered persistent discrepancies. Between January 1 and November 15, 2025, Nhamoinesu reportedly processed transactions amounting to US$11 082 and ZiG1 384 200.84, but only declared US$4 556 and ZiG626 716.84, allegedly prejudicing the company of the outstanding balance.
The matter was reported to the police, leading to his arrest.
Nhamoinesu is expected to return to court on December 19, 2025, for routine remand.
