Highfield is still waiting for a renovated Gwanzura Stadium

Uebert Angel

Philemon Jambaya

The Bible says, “Touch not the anointed” but unfortunately, I don’t know if Prophet Uebert Angel has the anointment of the most high God.

Still, the same Bible tells us that Moses was given the 10 commandments at Mount Moriah. One of the commandments which were inscribed on the two stones was “Do not Lie”.

Journalists do not judge lest I be attacked by Angel’s legion of fans. Rather, journalists just mirror society, they are the voice of the voiceless.

It is almost a year now after we read screaming headlines such as “Relief for Zim Football, as prophet Uebert Angel is set to renovate Gwanzura Stadium.

The sad truth is that the only noticeable thing which has happened at Gwanzura Stadium was the erection of a billboard with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s face written Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large.

This is a reflection that nothing meaningful has been done at the stadium, people are actually ploughing at Gwanzura.

Surprisingly, Angel had a meeting with Kirsty Coventry, who does not seem to have a clue of what needs to be done to our football.

The prophet is working with a minister who has sent our football to the dustbins.

Coming back to our issue, Angel should honour his promise to the people of Highfield and the football family at large.

The people are waiting for a state-of-the-art stadium from you Ambassador Angel, one which will be recognised by Fifa and CAF
