The Provincial Chair of ZANU PF Manicaland Tawanda Mukodza is accussed of hiring hooligans to block a Provincial Executive Council meeting in Mutare, the move that had been condemned as a desperate attempt to clove grip power, with party structures accusing Mukodza of financial betrayal, corruption, and defiance of national authority.
Sources close to the party reveal that Mukodza pocketed $100,000 donated by Wicknell and another $100,000 from the Presidential fund meant for the province's development. The funds, meant to strengthen the party's structures in Manicaland, never reached the intended beneficiaries, leaving cadres starved of resources.
