Zimbabwe has cemented its position as a top-tier global travel destination after scooping two major honors at the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) Awards, held on the sidelines of the ITB Berlin 2026 travel trade show.
The Southern African nation was crowned Destination of the Year Natural Wonders, a testament to its breathtaking landscapes and successful conservation efforts. Leading the charge for the country's success, the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, was also named Tourism Minister of the Year (Africa).
