From Hwange to the Warriors: "Smaller" Makes a Big ImpactYesterday was a very special day for Mongameli Tshuma. The Highlanders FC forward played his first-ever game for the Zimbabwe national team, the Warriors.

Tshuma’s journey to the top has been fast. He first played in the Premier League with Hwange FC before joining Highlanders. Now, he is representing the whole country on the big stage.

In the football world, Tshuma is known by the nickname "Smaller" because of his body size. But what he lacks in size, he makes up for with hard work and talent.

After his first game, "Smaller" thanked his coaches for giving him this big chance.

"I will try to do my best for the country and for those who support me," he said. "I am happy to be here."

The young striker admitted that he was surprised to be called up to the national team so soon. However, the senior players and managers helped him feel ready.

"I was surprised," he said. "But the captains and managers gave me advice to help me catch up. They told me to have a 'big heart' so I can play the way they want."

Fans are already excited about the young star. Tshuma says that when people "give you your flowers" (praise you), you have to work even harder to keep them.

"It gives me pressure," he admitted. "But if people give you flowers, you have to maintain them. I have to keep working hard to give them what they want on the field."
