Agama FC captain Tinashe Balakasi has hailed the club's new 50:50 partnership with Africa Minerals Venture (AMV), describing it as a life-changing development for the players following the immediate settlement of all outstanding salary arrears.
The historic deal, which officially took effect on May 5, 2026, sees AMV becoming an equal partner in the Mt Darwin-based side. The agreement is set to transform the club’s professional outlook through a massive injection of financial resources aimed at stabilizing operations and upgrading regional infrastructure.
The veteran marksman, Balakasi, could not hide his joy after the new partners moved swiftly to provide financial relief to the squad.
"As players, we are beyond happy and relieved. It is a massive weight off our shoulders to have our outstanding salaries cleared in full by the new partners," said Balakasi. "It has been difficult focusing solely on football with these issues hanging over us, but the professionalism shown by AMV has immediately changed the atmosphere in the dressing room."

Beyond the cleared salaries, the partnership has committed to settling all outstanding sign-on fees before the June transfer window opens, a move Balakasi says has restored confidence in the camp.
"The fact that they have also promised to clear our sign-on fees before the window opens in June shows that they truly care about our welfare. We can now focus 100% on our jobs on the pitch knowing that our families are taken care of. We are ready to give our all to ensure the club remains competitive as we move into this new era," the captain added.
While the club will remain based in Mt Darwin and retain its current name for the rest of the 2026 season, it is scheduled to rebrand to AMV Agama FC next year.
The partnership also looks toward the future with plans to construct a modern stadium in Mashonaland Central. This project forms part of a broader infrastructure upgrade designed to boost the club’s competitiveness and foster football development across the province.
