
A 23-year-old Karoi man has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after police found crystal methamphetamine and cannabis at his home following a tip-off about suspected drug use and dealing.
David Wasii was convicted by the Karoi Magistrates' Court after police recovered 80 grams of crystal meth and 660 grams of cannabis during a raid on his residence.
According to the State, police received information on June 18, 2026, at around 10pm that Wasii was using and dealing in drugs from his home.

Officers proceeded to the residence, where they allegedly found him smoking crystal meth.
A search of the house led to the recovery of two sachets of crystal meth and 20 small sachets of loose cannabis concealed in a red bag.
Prosecutors told the court that the packaging of the cannabis suggested it had been prepared for sale.
Wasii was arrested at the scene and was subsequently sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment.
