Robbers get away with car, goods, US$4k from Seke homestead

Robbers struck a homestead in Nyamadzawo Village under Chief Seke, in Chitungwiza last Friday and got away with a motor vehicle as well as an assortment of goods.

Police in Dema, Mashonaland East Province recovered the vihicle, a Nissan Syphy Blue Bird, registration number AFX 5170, which had been dumped by the roadside at Koala Park on Sunday.

Police said in a statement on their official Twitter handle. “A 55-inch Samsung television, 32-inch Samsung television, HP core i5 laptop, 3.2 kva generator, a solar battery, three cellphones and US$4 000 cash were also stolen during the robbery.

“The vehicle was found dumped by the roadside at Koala Park, Harare with its battery missing and had a dent at the back,” the statement said.
