Blessing Suluwe, (22) and Lucious Sikadza (19), were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each following their conviction in a case involving the exploitation of vulnerable 15 year old girl.
They appeared before the Harare Magistrates Court yesterday in Harare.
The court heard that case began after the teenage girl having left her rural home in Sanyati early January 2025.
She met Sikadza who offered her temporary shelter at her residence in Kuwadzana .
It said that on the 6 March 2025 , Sikadza took the girl to Suluwo's residence where she left her under the pretext of returning later.
Suluwo raped her during that time when Sikadza was away and left her in his care.
The Magistrate stated that both Suluwe and Sikadza were jointly responsible, one through direct action , the other through knowingly placing the minor in a vulnerable situation.
Both of them were convicted of rape.
