Police in Mvurwi have arrested Francisca Mutombwa,30, in connection with a case of murder in which the victim Amos Marowa, 79, died after being struck with an unknown object on the head and arm on April 21 at Holland Farm.
The victim had uprooted some maize plants, onions and sugarcane in the suspect’s garden.
Meanwhile, three people have been taken to court charged with murder after combining to assault the now deceased.
Leanda Mupfumira, 18, Takudzwa Hakurotwi, 19 and a 17-year old student - all of Kuwadzana 2 - were brought before magistrate Yeukai Dzuda a charged with murder.
The State through, Thomas Chanakira alleges that, on April, 20, 2023, at Kuwadzana Shopping Centre, Mupfumira stoned the now deceased, name withheld, with a half brick on the upper back.
Takudzwa then grabbed the now deceased's neck during the fight. Tafadzwa exchanged blows with the now deceased.
Dzuda post poned the matter to April 24, while awaiting for verification of the age of accused in the matter.
