A precast wall that was erected over 23 years ago has placed neighbours at loggerheads as one claims it is encroaching into his yard.
Joel Kurarama took Agnes Muzariri to the Harare Civil Court, accusing her of insulting him because of a precast wall.
“Her precast wall is encroaching into my yard.
“She also insults me,” he said.
Muzariri refuted the allegations.
She told the court that she was now afraid to come out her gate because Kurarama will always be waiting for her.
“He insults me in front of people, including my in-laws.
“He will be sitting outside with a brick, l am afraid of going outside now,” she said.
Muzariri said Kurarama was in the habit of urinating in her yard just to anger her.
She claimed that he peeps through windows to see what was happening in people’s rooms at her house.
“He urinates in my yard and digs outside my door saying the colour of the sand is dirty.
“He climbs up the precast wall to see what will transpiring in people’s rooms and when he feels that he would have been seen he will pretend to fall breaking my property,” she said.
Magistrate Chibindi dismissed the peace order application by Kurarama.
She said that it was clear that there was bad blood between the two, as a result, there was a chance that the peace would end up being abused if granted.
