Police in Matobo have arrested A 20-year-old man has been arrested by police in Matobo in connection with murder after he allegedly strangled his lover to death before disposing of her body in a river.
Trust Mlilo has since been identified as the suspect and he is assisting police with investigations.
“Police in Matobo are investigating a case of murder in which the body of the victim, Melody Sayi, 21, was found floating in Gonde River near Silungudzi Village,” read part of the police statement on Twitter.
Police suspect that Mlilo strangled Sayi to death before throwing her body into the river.
