Delta Force Boxing and MMA, in partnership with Ishan Sport, will embark on a nationwide talent-scouting initiative to fight Africa’s next biggest stars to fill the remaining two slots.

Ishan Sports is sponsoring four athletes with the other two slots already filled by Farai Makombe and Zvikomborero Chemhere.

Deltaforce Boxing and MMA Academy CEO, Clyde Musonda, said the partnership will help the boxers to pursue their dreams.

“We believe that this initiative will not only go far in making sure that our boxers and athletes are well equipped in pursuing their career goals but it will also aid in the ongoing fight against drugs which have plagued us as a nation.

“Boxing and sports in general instill the core values of hard work, discipline and resilience, all of which are key in this fight.

“We are excited for this opportunity and partnership with Ishan Sport as it provides us with the platform for tangible development on a national and international scale,” Musonda said.

Ihsan Sport Regional Manager, Kingston Makiwa revealed that boxers who win international bouts will also get bonuses.

“On behalf of Mr Majid Khan, the owner of Ihsan International Pakistan, we are happy to sponsor and partner Deltaforce Boxing and MMA.

“Each boxer will receive a boxing kit worth at least US$1 000 annually for the next three years and we will also partner Deltaforce Boxing and MMA as our exclusive distributor for boxing, MMA and combat sports gear and equipment.

“We as a brand, believe in executing and delivering excellence at the highest order in whatever we do. Our products speak for themselves and as such, we will leave our actions to speak for themselves,” Makiwa said.

Deltaforce and MAA Academy COO, Eric Kandiwa said the partnership is a milestone in not only the advancement and development of Deltaforce Boxing and MMA but of the African boxing sector, especially the Sadc region.

“This partnership will not only see Ihsan Sports sponsoring four athletes from the Deltaforce Boxing and MMA Academy with training and fighting kits for the next three years but it will also avail Deltaforce Boxing and MMA with business opportunity valued at US$250 000 within the same time period as Deltaforce Boxing and MMA becomes Ihsan Sports’ exclusive distributing partners,” Kandiwa noted.
