Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of robbery which occurred on May 28 at two sport bet shops, Entumbane. Six unknown suspects armed with bolt cutters and a six pound hammer pounced at the shops and attacked three security guards before stealing US$4 500 and ZAR 25 000 cash which was in Chubb cash safes.
Meanwhile, police in the same city are investigating a case of unlawful entry into premises and theft in which the complainant, 38, discovered that unknown suspects had broken into his hardware shop at Spar Complex, Fife Street before stealing ZAR 13 151.00 and US$9 631.00.
And in an unrelated matter, police in Jambezi are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Thabani Munsaka, 45, who is being sought in connection with a case of murder which occurred on May 29 at Lunyalalo Village, Milonga.
The suspect allegedly assaulted to death his ex-girlfriend, Nemakawu Mudimba, 29, with a metal rod and metal rim, over an undisclosed issue.
In Harare, the ZRP is investigating a case of murder in which Nyasha Bepete, 26, died on May 29 after being assaulted on different occasions by her friend’s boyfriend, Tedius Shumba, and her boyfriend only identified as Gift.
Tedius Shumba hit the complainant with stones on the head on May 22 at a certain house in Tynwald, after allegedly reprimanding her for befriending his girlfriend, while her boyfriend pushed the victim to the ground after an argument, at the victim’s residence.
