Norman Mapeza says he expects a brutal test for his men, who are enjoying a resurgence, when they take on Dynamos on the neutral fields of Barbourfields tomorrow.

‌The match will be live on ZTN Prime.

It’s the first showdown between the champions, and the Glamour Boys, in a place that is neither Harare nor Zvishavane.

The strange setting comes from Dynamos’ decision to adopt Barbourfields as their alternative home ground.

Their usual home at the National Sports Stadium remains closed for renovations.

The big question, in the countdown to this match, was whether the DeMbare fans will take over the Soweto Stand, tomorrow.

The iconic stand is the spiritual home of Highlanders fans and, given that they are the home team tomorrow, will the Glamour Boys supporters opt for a dance there?

Away from the off-the-field drama, Mapeza says he is aware of the threat posed by Dynamos.

“If you look at their performances in their last two games, they are playing very well, good football.

“Definitely, we know the challenge we are going to face on Saturday.

“But, I am happy with what I’m seeing from the boys.

“In our win against Chicken Inn last Saturday, we had so many positives to pick, and I have talked to the boys about continuing to work hard, especially ahead of the game (against Dynamos).”

The expectation is that there will be a huge crowd at Barbourfields again with the Highlanders supporters expected to back the lesser of the two devils.

The Bosso fans will support any team, at any given time, which is not Dynamos and FC Platinum will have a huge supporters’ base in their corner.

“We have been there before. We have played before such crowds before.

“What is important is to go there and play our normal football,” said Mapeza.
