Trymore Tapfumaneyi is expected in court soon after the Zimbabwe Republic Police announced his arrest as the second wanted person in the E-Creator debacle.
In its allegations against Zhao Jiatong who appeared in court yesterday, the state named Tapfumaneyi, Abraham Mutambu Justin Kuchekenya, Bily Thomas Syedou and unidentified others as suspects in the fraud and money laundering scheme.
Zhao was charged with fraud and money laundering and retained in custody for bail hearing on Monday.
Prior to the implosion of E-Creator names known to the public were Abraham Mutambu who was presented as the managing director while Justin Kuchekenya was named the CEO.
Zhao Jiatong’s name only became know after E-Creator failed to pay its dues and the company announced that Zhao had siphoned off all the cash into his own personal account.
Zhao Jiatong became an overnight sensation as Zimbabweans debated as to whether he really existed or was simply a distraction trick by the known faces of E-Creator.
