The Queen of Peace Institute for Community Mental Health Innovations and Rehabilitation was conferred with the glamorous Conquerors Association of the Disabled and Vulnerable National Philanthropic award for its outstanding achievements in mental health and drug and substance abuse work in the Midlands Province.
The inaugural CADAV National Philanthropic awards recognise grassroots organisations that make a difference to the lives of others.
Queen of Peace founder and Executive Director Stella Gaihai expressed great joy for being part of the people recognised by CADAV.
“This award is testimony to the great work that the Queen of Peace is doing in the Midlands Province. Being recognised by other organisations shows the amount of trust and confidence that others have in us. Our agenda is to continue making mental health, drugs and substance abuse a national priority.”
The ceremony was attended by at least 50 community-based organisations across the country. Higherlife Foundation, Marriage Pot and Imani Foundation were also some of the winners.
