The Zimbabwean team will be represented by Tori Dawe, Mikayla Makwabarara and Bjorn Mhlanga.

The Sports and Recreation Commission Zimbabwe gave some farewell remarks to the team.

“Wishing all the best to our Zimbabwe Swimming Team set to participate at the World Aquatics Junior Championships from 4-9 September in Netanya, Israel.”

Junior swimmers travelled yesterday to Netanya with their team manager, Masi Takaedza.

Over 600 promising young swimmers from more than 100 National Federations, including Zimbabwe, are expected to compete at the event.

Speaking to Zim Now, national swimming coach Takaedza said they are excited to be part of the championships.

“It’s exciting and means a lot to be part of this team. The goal now is to motivate and help the swimmers achieve their goals for this tour. We are expecting new personal best times and my message to the athletes is believe in yourself and try your best,” she said.
