GreenFuel Sports Arena has been cleared to host Premiership matches with the GreenFuel Football Club now set to host its first match at the facility on Saturday.
This comes at a time when the league debutants have been travelling to Triangle’s Gibbo Stadium for their home matches.
In its Match Day 22 fixtures released yesterday, the Premier Soccer League indicated that the match between GreenFuel FC and Sheasham set for Saturday will be played at the GreenFuel Sports Arena.
This makes the match venue the only facility suitable to host Premiership matches in the province of Manicaland.
GreenFuel FC chairperson, Fred Moyo expressed his gratitude toward the dedication showed by the sponsors.
“"I really want to thank our sponsors, GreenFuel Company, through our directors, Billy and Conrad Rautenbach, for the commitment they showed for us to get to this stage. This is something that is being done for the love of the people of Chisumbanje and surrounding communities.
“The development agenda, though sport, is crystal clear for all to see. This will obviously culminate into talent identification and development from this remote part of the country. In fact, homologation came at the right time of the season, the 12th player is now critical at this stage of the season,” he said.
GreenFuel FC spokesperson, Merit Rumema said the development will help boost the morale of the team.
“As GreenFuel FC, we are super excited. We have been waiting for this for a long time and we are happy that it has come to fruition. We are looking forward to playing at home and this will go a long way in boosting the team’s morale,” Runema said.
