Government has granted State-assisted funerals to the late former Clerk of Parliament, Austin Zvoma as well as the late educationist Professor Gibson Madishona, who died on Saturday at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals following a stroke.
In a press release yesterday, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda said this was because of “their valuable contribution to nation-building”.
Zvoma, who died on Saturday, served as Clerk of Parliament and helped in the development of sports and the arts sector in the country.
On the other hand, Prof Mandishona served in several Boards, was a renowned artist and an educationist.
