3 brother arrested in connection with murder of businessman

Three brothers from Village 3 Gadzika, Mazetese in Mwenenzi were arrested for allegedly murdering a 49-year-old businessman, Chomwenye Nzou on Tuesday.

Police confirmed the indident.

“Three brothers, Ishewatida Dube, Ishewatipa Dube and Shakemore Dube as well as a yet-to-be-identified suspect, took turns to attack a local businessperson, Chomwenye Nzou, 49, with unknown sharp objects after the victim had assaulted Ishewatida Dube. Ishewatida Dube had assaulted the victim’s employee after a misunderstanding,” police said on X wall.

Cases of murder are raising in the country as reported by the police this year.

Last month, police in Mazowe reported a murder case where a body of an unknown female adult was found lying in a trench, half-naked with a deformed face.

On September 17, police in Mandlambazi reported a murder case where a 28-year-old man was attacked by the two unknown suspects.

Police also confirmed the arrest of a 37-year-old Petros Chishiri for a suspected case of murder that occurred at Chishiri Village in Goromonzi.

The police said Chishiri tried to assault his 37-year-old niece with a clenched fist, over an unknown issue. He missed his intended target and hit the niece’s two-year-old daughter, who was strapped on the back.
