“I started music in 2005 when I was in Form One. I recorded my first album in 2006,” says a 32-year-old Paul Gerald Musevenzi, popularly known as Sir Paulus.
When he was in primary school, he was a novel writer, poet and article writer.
Musevenzi likes the arts though he is not professionally in the arts industry.
He is a business consultant by profession.
“I hold a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting, I studied with Midlands State University.
“I have a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the Great Zimbabwe University.
“I am also a qualified Chartered Accountant Governance professional with CGI Zimbabwe, which used to be known as ICSAZ.”
Musevenzi is also a farmer and sometimes I help Accounts students with some extra lessons.
Musevenzi calls himself a professional hustler.
“I assist a number of business owners, specifically those who are into pre-schools and schools to structure and register their schools.
“I also run a small panel betting and spray painting company.”
Sir Paulus is a producer of the “Mjolo” Reality Show.
In an interview with Zim Now, Sir Paulus said the inspiration behind the “Mjolo” game on reality show is based on what people are facing in society.
“Remember these days, cases of infidelity have gone up. In the past, these things used to happen but the levels were low.
“The most disheartening thing is that even women are also engaged in these extra marital affairs or relationships outside marriage.
“It is painful to realise that someone you are spending time with thinking you will marry her or someone you are married to, is dating someone else.”
He was inspired by the desire to know who is cheating who, but his intention is not to destroy relationships but to create an upright society where people care for other’s emotions because love is something that evolves in different emotional phases where people end up attached to someone, trusting each other whole-heartedly.
“I faced a number of experiences not like personal experiences but experiences from those who are close to me, some ended up trying to commit suicide, some leaving their families and some ended up changing their behaviour in different ways.”
“Mjolo” Reality Show targets anyone who is willing to check out their relationships and those who are willing to understand the reasons behind cheating.
“After each and every interview which we are going to do, we will check and try to understand why the person was cheating. Is it just a hobby in people or what?
“Some are in marriages but they are cheating so, we want to come up with the main reason for cheating.”
“Mjolo” Reality Show is currently based on social media and he is not sure if his show will get a chance to be aired on public media.
The show is streaming on the You Tube channel and Facebook page, it is now on Season 1 Episode 2.
Museveni said he want to reach a stage where he will find closure in these people who are cheating each other not to just expose them.
“We don’t just want to expose them but we also want to seat down with them, talk with them and make them understand why they are in these relationships and what are the benefits of moving on and the benefits of staying in that relationship.”
Musevenzi is a divorcee who is struggling to meet a faithful partner, which is one of the major reasons that pushed him to come up with the idea of the “Mjolo” Reality Show.
