Disputed Citizens Coalition for Change secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu says Gift Ostallos Siziba is wasting time running for the Pelandaba-Tshabalala constituency in the February 3 by-elections.
"If Ostallos was legitimately endorsed by me, he could campaign and secure victory. However, he is aware that the endorsement did not come from the secretary-general,” said Tshabangu.
Tshabangu recalled Siziba as Member of Parliament that the latter has ceased to be a member of CCC. Siziba is still recognised by the Chamisa faction as the deputy spokesperson.
Tshabangu has accused the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission of incompetence in allowing Siziba to participate in the by-elections.
In December, CCC candidates endorsed by Chamisa were disqualified from the by-elections following Tshabangu’s successful move to have them removed from the ballot paper.
