President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed two deputy ministers, Sleiman T Kwadini and Rajeshkumari Modi.
The appointments by the President come as a provision of the Constitution of Zimbabwe embedded in Amendment (No. 20) of Act 2013.
In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, confirmed the appointments, adding that they are with immediate effect.
“Hon. Sleiman Timios Kwadini, MP: Ministry of Health and Child Care, and Hon. Rajeshkumari Modi, MP: Ministry of Industry and Commerce,” Dr Rushwaya said in the statement.
Modi served in the same capacity between 2018 and 2023.
