Cemair will be introducing flights between Harare and Johannesburg in May this year.

The privately owned airline which launched its Johannnesburg-Victoria Falls flights in August last year announced the upcoming development on its website.

Flights will be launching on May 21 with 4 flights a week on the route.

Standard fares will include the usual inflight catering and a baggage allowance of 21kg checked and 7kg cabin.

Cemair says that it plans to put on flights to several other destinations in the future.

Zimbabwe is also seeing positive growth in tourist numbers and air traffic volumes following the upgrade of its international airports.

Cemair is one of the 13 airlines already operating flights between Zimbabwe and other countries.

From Johannesburg, several airlines offer direct scheduled services into Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare.
