Three men who allegedly stole US$56 000 from Runwave Petroleum have been denied bail.
Luckson Tsoka, 22, of Ushewokunze, New Stands, Collen Maweni, 26, of Ushewokunze and Norest Chimbumu, 29, of Southlea Park, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with robbery.
The State, through prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, alleges that on January 24, the three accused persons went to Runwave Petroleum Service Station armed with iron bars and machetes.
The State alleges that the accused persons got hold of the fuel attendants who were on duty and forced themselves into the offices.
While inside, they allegedly tied the hands and legs of the complainant and his workmates and demanded to know where the safe was kept.
They entered the room and blasted the safe using suspected dynamite.
The accused then then stole US$56 000 from the safe and disappeared from the scene.
They were ordered to appear in court tomorrow for bail application.
