Zimbabwe Stock Exchange-listed stationery, paper and batteries manufacturer, Amalgamated Regional Trading Holdings Limited will hold its 22nd Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 07 March 2024.
The company secretary, Abisai Chingwecha, confirmed this in a notice to shareholders. Grant Thornton will also be appointed as auditors at the AGM.
“Notice is hereby given to the Shareholders of the Company that, the Twenty Second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the shareholders of Amalgamated Regional Trading (ART) Holdings Limited (the Company) will be held on Thursday, 07 March 2024, at 14:30 hours for the purposes of transacting and, if deemed fit, passing with or without amendments, the following resolutions.”
The board approved the convening of the 22nd AGM through a virtual platform.
At the meeting, shareholders will receive, consider, and adopt the Audited Financial Statements of the Company for the year ended 30 September 2023 together with the Report of the Directors and Auditors thereon.
In terms of the Articles of Association of the Company, Milton Pedzi Macheka, the Group Chief Executive Officer of ART, will retire by rotation and offer himself for re-election at the Annual General Meeting if eligible.
In terms of the Articles of Association of the Company, Dr Thomas Wushe, the Chairman, will also retire by rotation at the Annual General Meeting and, being eligible, offers himself for re-election.
ART Holdings has distribution operations in Zimbabwe and Zambia. The holding company is in Harare.
The AGM will also consider the appointment of Grant Thornton as auditors for the ensuing year and authorise the Directors to fix their remuneration.
