Magaya aims to convince Billiat and Musona to return to national team

Prophet Walter Magaya, owner of the Yadah Stars football club, has expressed his intention to convince veteran players Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona to reconsider their retirement from the Zimbabwe national team, popularly known as the Warriors.

Magaya believes both players, especially Billiat, who recently signed with Yadah Stars, can still contribute significantly to the national team. He observed Billiat’s performance in a friendly match and remarked on his skill and experience.

“Khama is big in terms of his profile,” said Magaya. “He still has a lot to offer, and I will try to talk to him to reconsider his decision. The same goes for Knowledge. We need their experience.”

Magaya highlighted the continued success of players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo well into their thirties, suggesting that age shouldn’t be a barrier for Billiat and Musona.

“These guys have the experience we need,” he emphasised. “Look, Khama is only 33. With the right attitude and focus, age shouldn’t hold him back. He still has the talent and ability to make a difference.”
