A man, who was allegedly in the habit of assaulting his wife whenever she asked him why he was having extra-marital affairs, has been taken to court.
Talent Mudzinge 23, of Warren Park D, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with violation of the Domestic Violence Act.
He was remanded in custody.
The complainant in this matter is Samantha Mudzonga, 24, of Warren Park D.
The State, through prosecutor Nomsa Kangara, alleges that on October 25, 2023, at around 2200 hours, Mudzonga saw love messages in Mudzinge’s phone and asked him why he was doing that.
This allegedly did not go well with Mudzinge, who started assaulting her with open hand and fists several times on the head.
She then fell unconscious in the process and only came to at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
The State also alleges that on February 26, 2024, at around 2300 hours, Mudzinge and Mudzonga had a misunderstanding over his lovers.
Mudzinge allegedly spit on Mudzonga’s face, forced her mouth open and spat again before he allegedly started assaulting her.
