Three women who allegedly assaulted the complainant, claiming that she was spreading information on one of the accused, damaging her reputation on Facebook have been taken to court.
Donna Chaseya, 31, of Corner Fife Avenue and Takawira Street, Candice Chiseya, 18, of Granary and Everlyn Chandengenda, 30, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with assault.
They were ordered to deposit US$50 bail and will appear in court on May 13, for trial.
The complainant in this matter is Precious Chigodora, 22.
The State alleges that on March 20, at around 1030 hours in Belgravia, Chigodora was with her friend on her way to Belgravia shops when she met the three accused seated at the front yard benches.
It is alleged that Chaseya approached Chigodora accusing her of tarnishing her image on Facebook and they started exchanging words.
It is alleged that the accused then pushed Chigodora and she fell on the ground and she was assaulted by the accused.
The State alleges that one kicked her several times on and another one slapped her on the cheek.
