Zimbabwean entertainment promoter Partson Chimbodza, popularly known as Chipaz, is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the fifth edition of the Mash Central Achievers Awards in recognition of his contribution to the country's arts, entertainment and events management industry.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 5, 2026, at Kangara Resort in Bindura, bringing together business leaders, professionals, community builders and other stakeholders to celebrate individuals and organisations making a difference in Mashonaland Central.

The event marks five years since the establishment of the awards, which organisers say have continued to grow in recognition and support across the province.

Mash Central Achievers Awards Co-Founder and Director Umtali Saidi said reaching the fifth edition was a significant milestone for the team.

"We are extremely satisfied with the growth of the Mash Central Achievers Awards over the years. Reaching the fifth edition is a major milestone for us, considering where we started and the journey we have travelled," said Saidi.

He said the initiative was established to recognise people making meaningful contributions to society and inspire others to follow their example.

"Our vision has always been to celebrate excellence, inspire others and create a culture of appreciation for people who are making a difference. We are particularly proud that the Awards have continued to identify and recognise individuals whose contributions might otherwise go unnoticed," he said.

Other recipients of Lifetime Achievement Awards will include Eddie Mwenje and Paul Thistle of Karanda Mission Hospital, who will also be inducted into the Mashonaland Central Achievers Hall of Fame for his contribution to healthcare and humanitarian work.

Ryan DhokwaniRyan Dhokwani has been nominated for a Special Recognition Award in Community Development, while 2M Restaurant is nominated for Restaurant of the Year.

This year's awards will recognise achievements across several sectors, including healthcare, entertainment, business, mining and community development.

Saidi said the awards went beyond celebrating individual achievements, as they also sought to promote business growth, investment and community involvement.

"The fifth edition is not just a celebration of the past four years but also a renewed commitment to doing more for our province," he said.

He added that the event would provide networking and business engagement opportunities, allowing people from different sectors to exchange ideas and establish partnerships.

The ceremony will be held under the theme, "Celebrating the Munhumutapa Legacy in Mashonaland Central Province," which seeks to recognise the province's rich history while celebrating the achievements of its people.
