Man Stabs Another Over Phone Dispute

A 31-year-old man has appeared in court after allegedly stabbing another man during a dispute over a phone.

George Dhlovu appeared before Harare Magistrate Fadzai Mtombeni facing charges of attempted murder. He was remanded in custody.

The complainant in the matter is Chaman Allan.

Prosecutor Zvikomborero Mupasa told the court that on December 11, at around 10 PM, in Tabudirira, Budiriro 4, Dhlovu and Allan had a misunderstanding regarding a phone.

The State alleges that Dhlovu became angry and stabbed Allan once in the stomach with a knife. Allan sustained a deep cut, and his intestines protruded through the wound.

The victim was rushed to Sally Mugabe Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
