Police have launched an investigation following a break in at the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry offices, Tongai Mnangagwa on Monday.

His office is housed in the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority building on Samora Machel Avenue, Harare.

Police said in a statement, "The Police have confirmed that investigations being conducted in connection with a report of an alleged break in at the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Tongai Mnangagwa in Harare between 5 and 8 July."

This break-in follows a series of similar attacks, including a recent burglary at the home of David Kudakwashe Mnangagwa, the president’s son, in Borrowdale, Harare.

On June 25, an intruder left behind six cartridges, three near the finance deputy minister’s main bedroom door and three on the lawn outside the two-story house.
