A 19-year-old man from Mazowe appeared before the Concession Magistrates' court on charges of indecent assault.

On August 6, 2024, the accused person had anal sexual intercourse with his stepbrother, 9, as they were sleeping in the same bed.

The accused person only stopped when the complainant woke up after feeling pain from the intercourse.

When the accused person noticed that the complainant had woken up, he pretended to be deep in sleep.

The matter came to light when the complainant confided in his father about the incident.

They confronted the person who admitted to commiting the offence. A police report was made leading to the arrest of the accused person.

The accused person pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
