The European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe has contracted Dicomm MCcann to support the implementation of its communication strategy.
Dicomm McCann Managing Director Charles Mutemera expressed the company’s excitement at the development.
“These are certainly exciting times for the team at Dicomm McCann. It is an honour to be trusted to assist with communications for an institution of this magnitude,” he said.
This is a big coop for Dicomm McCann as they become the first organisation ever to get an EU communication contract.
The creative agency has an impressive portfolio which includes the UNICEF Live Well programme which interactively engages Zimbabweans in making healthy lifestyle choices through radio programming integrated with social media.
In recognition of Dicomm McCann's agility, Liquid Intelligent Technologies contracted the agency to handle its ccommunication in 20 African markets.
Based on shared values and interests, the EU is accompanying Zimbabwe as it pursues its development objectives, as outlined in the country’s National Development Strategy 1 (2021-2025).
The EU realises that strategic communication is extremely important to raise awareness, understanding and perception of the Zimbabwe-EU partnership and the positive impact that it is having on the people of the country.
The EU-Dicomm McCann partnership seeks to ensure that public awareness is commensurate with the scale, scope and ambition of their engagement in Zimbabwe.
