Emmanuel Murimba of Mutumbani Business Centre in Odzi will serve 8 years behind bars for attempted murder.
The accused appeared before the Mutare Magistrates court for judgment.
The allegations are that on May 15, 2024, the accused went to Talent Mukonza to start an argument over Mukonza's cattle grazing in his maizefield.
An altercation ensued, Murimba kicked the complainant once on his chest. He went on to struck on his left rib with a brick and also hit him with a stone.
The neighbours tried to hold back from assaulting Talent, unfortunately it was all in vein.
He was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. However, a year was suspended for 5 years, he will serve 8 years effectively.
