A former employee of Khumbulani Supply Chain Private Limited, Kudakwashe Takawira, has been brought before the Harare Magistrate's Courts, facing charges of theft of trust property.
Takawira is accused of misappropriating US$68,000 from the company during his tenure as a business development officer.
The company, represented by its director, Tawanda Muchineripi, alleges that between June 22, 2021, and May 2024, Takawira's role was to market and sell company products, as well as assist with administrative duties.
However, it is claimed that Takawira sold goods worth US$68,000 but failed to remit the funds to the company, instead converting them for personal use.
Takawira was granted US$200 bail pending further legal proceedings.
