Dynamos FC was eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup tournament after a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to Botswana's Orapa United.

The Zimbabwean giants, who had a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, failed to defend their lead and were eventually defeated 3-0 in the shootout.

The match was a tense affair with both teams creating chances. Kelvin Moyo missed a crucial penalty in the first half, while Dynamos' Emmanuel Paga had a goal disallowed for handball. The turning point came in the 77th minute when Orapa United scored from a set piece.

Dynamos' coach, Lloyd Chigowe, expressed his disappointment with the result and blamed the team's lack of home advantage. "We had chances to kill off the contest, but we failed to take advantage of them," he said. "Playing both matches away from home was a big disadvantage. If we had played one of the matches at home, I am sure the outcome would have been different."

The defeat is a major setback for Dynamos, who were hoping to make a strong impression in the tournament. However, Chigowe has vowed to rally his troops and focus on domestic competitions.
