The Zimbabwe Accountants International has formed a strategic partnership with UK-based risk solutions firm, Diaspora Insurance, to offer financial security to its members worldwide. This collaboration brings together a community of over 1,200 Zimbabwean accountants from various regions, including South Africa, Dubai, Australia, Canada, USA, and the UK.

ZAI, established in 2022, provides a platform for Zimbabwean accountants to connect, learn, and grow professionally. The partnership with Diaspora Insurance offers ZAI members access to bespoke funeral insurance products, ensuring immediate financial relief in times of bereavement.

"This partnership is significant as it provides members with access to tailored insurance solutions, ensuring financial security for families abroad," said ZAI president Nico Chitsa. "This collaboration strengthens the support network for the diaspora, addressing key needs like life cover and repatriation."

Diaspora Insurance Channels Director, Edwin Tsvere, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "Having a group of professionals like the Zimbabwe Accountants International  partnering with us inspires confidence in what we do as Diaspora Insurance." He encouraged other structured groups to emulate this model to provide their members with similar benefits.

Diaspora Insurance, based in Birmingham, UK, specializes in designing and distributing insurance products tailored to the needs of expatriates and diasporans. Registered with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority  and a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme , the company now offers its unique funeral cash plan and group schemes to 19 African nationalities living and working in developed markets.
