US$82,500 in Prizes Up for Grabs at Chibuku Road to Fame Talent Search Competition

The 2024 edition of the Chibuku Road to Fame talent search competition has allocated a total of US$82,500 in prize money, along with a recording contract for the winners of both the provincial and national finals. The competition is set to run from September 28 to November 9, 2024.

Running under the theme “Bviravira, Tshay’iNgoma,” the event will kick off with provincial finals in all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe. The top three provincial winners will walk away with US$2,500 for first place, US$1,500 for second, and US$1,000 for third place. These will culminate in a grand finale, where the national champion will win a recording contract and US$15,000. Second and third place at the national level will receive US$10,000 and US$7,500, respectively.

In a statement, Delta Beverages highlighted the competition's goal to discover and celebrate Zimbabwe’s emerging musical talent, while providing a platform to empower, nurture, and support the country's arts.

“With a rich history of success, the competition continues to empower aspiring musicians, creating countless success stories along the way. Through close collaboration with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, we are committed to nurturing fresh talent and supporting the arts,” read the statement.

Chibuku Road to Fame also serves as an opportunity for Delta Beverages to engage with consumers across the nation, fostering connections and strengthening bonds of friendship among their customers.

The event has been a pivotal launchpad for many successful musicians, and this year’s competition promises to be another exciting chapter in Zimbabwe’s musical journey.
